Life Update! June 2017

School, NaNoWriMo, Writing, Traveling, Family, Learning, Religion. All of these things and more has captured my attention and energy.

For those who are true followers of this blog, I am sorry for the absence! No amount of excuses and reasons could erase the 8 months that I haven’t posted anything. I can only hope that by providing you all with the truth, it could be remedied.

To be completely honest, as many drafts I’ve written and had the intention of posting onto this blog, I just haven’t found the time or motivation to follow through. Upon the many awakenings I’ve had about life and the spirit realm in general, the biggest of them all was the fact that I didn’t, couldn’t, and wouldn’t forget G-d. I think that’s the biggest reason why I’ve been away. So many people in the Spiritual Community talk about leaving religion behind and not believing in a Higher Power. This, above all other things, is something that I cannot believe to be true for myself. A lot of people on this site (or people that I used to know), who claim to be spirituals, go by this system.

There was no one I could look to, could feel validated by, or just have a common conviction that G-d is real, always been real, will always exist even when we don’t. I had to stay true to myself, but at the time I had forgotten myself,  so I had to withdraw.

I went deeper into my own soul and started searching the ultimate truth. Religion has always played a major role in my life, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, all three have been present in my upbringing. The common thread was the belief in a Higher Power.

I’ve reached the conclusion that while Astral Projecting, Lucid Dreaming, Reincarnation, Past Lives, Chakra Work, Angels and Demons all exist—there is a Higher Power above it all. I call Him the G-d of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. And I no longer need to feel validated by anyone or anything to believe this true reality for myself.

As for the other reasons/excuses/areas of life:

  1. I’m graduating from High School in two weeks!
  2. In November of 2016, I wrote the first draft of a novel I’ve been planning for two years! I also joined a Writer’s Group and attended my first workshop.
  3. I attended this awesome event known as Book Con this year. It was held in New York and I got to spend four amazing days there and in New Jersey. It was my first trip out of state, so it was amazing to finally travel and visit new places and experience new things.
  4. After graduating, I will be mainly focused on taking writing courses and starting a new blog that focuses on the Writing Process and Book reviews.
  5. I’m at a point in my life where G-d is put above everything else, while spiritual realities and all that comes with it are connected through His Word.

It was an amazing feeling to have written my first novel, read my work to a group of people that I didn’t know but eventually grew to know a little better, and then visit one of the places that I’ve dreamed of visiting for a long time.

Now here comes the part where I talk about what will happen to this blog…

For now, I don’t think there will be any new posts in regards to spirituality on this blog. Since I’m starting a new one, my focus will be mainly on that one. I see that some people come across my old posts every now and then, but it probably won’t hurt to work on this book that I believe will help people see the world differently, like the Matrix movies. (Hint: the initial concept of my story was actually inspired by the Matrix movies, Inception, and common knowledge about the spirit realm).

If there is anyone who would like me to write about something or talk about something, perhaps I can. Otherwise, I’ll be working on other projects.

Until next time,

Tiffany

Motivation And Where To Find It

Here are two things that some people might mistake for the other; inspiration and motivation.
There is a distinction between them.  Inspiration is mostly found on the outside of self (books, movies, songs, pictures, places, people, etc…) while motivation is something that stems from inside of you. It’s important to know the distinction so that you could summon whichever one you need at the moment.
You may be a student struggling in school or you might be someone working to live the dream life you’ve always wanted. Whoever you are, whatever your battle may be, here are a few pieces of advice to help you stay motivated.
  • Slow down: Don’t stress about the things that aren’t really significant. Sometimes you just need to take a break from some things. Recharging is important. If taking a break means taking a week off to unplug or just taking a break from something else or whatever, then by all means, take the break. Afterward, you’ll be feeling much more inspired, energetic, and ready to tackle whatever.
  • Daily To-Do List: a list full of things you need to do and strongly desire to do.
If you narrow it down to what you need to do and what you strongly desire to do, it’ll have you stay focused and not stressed over so many little things.

What is a major difference between people who are successfully productive and ones who are not? The successful ones prioritize! Everyone has 24-hours, nobody is short-changed. So what makes us all different is how we use that time, and what we prioritize.

  • Motivation list: One of the ways I summon mine is by writing down a list of reasons why I want a particular outcome. I actually wrote a list of reasons why I want to become a published author. Some were things like making my parents proud and knowing their sacrifices mattered. Others were  how I didn’t want to let this life pass by without following my dream. This story was given to me for a reason and I owe it to my family, my Creator, and myself to make this happen. No talents nor gifts should ever be wasted. They were given to us to give to others and this is how we change the world.  I wrote a lot of reasons but I’ll just leave these ones here.

Keep this list! Maybe even carry it in your pocket or somewhere you could see it every day, especially when you need it.

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, but there is good reason for that! In my next post, I shall explain further.

4 Ways To Cultivate Self-Love

If you want more love in your life, you have to become Love.

You achieve this by developing self-love. What would you make you love yourself more? If you looked more attractive?  If you were rich? If you were taller, shorter? Stronger, smarter, popular?

People often get stuck in a cycle of always wanting something more. One person wishes they had straighter hair, another wished they had waves or curls. One wants to be taller, another wants to be shorter. Everybody wants something that they don’t have.

What is it that really makes a person lovable? Their heart, their soul, and their mind. Those things mean far more than most people will ever know. Those things are the true essence of beauty. The beauty of the heart and soul is the only kind that lasts forever.

What are ways to show you love yourself? Here are four ways you can start cultivating self-love:

  1. Write a list of ten things you love about yourself. Ten things. It can be as simple as the color of your eyes to something deeper such as your compassionate, caring heart. The goal is to train yourself to find the positives or things that are lovely about yourself. And when I say ‘find’ I’m not saying it’s something that is hard. Your perception is what makes it seem like a hard task, but really isn’t. The stars shine whether anyone acknowledges it or not. The same goes for the things that make you special. I’m sure you can find lots of things that are good about yourself, about others, about things.
  2.  Replace all the negative words you (or others) use to describe or associate with you, with positive ones. Stop criticizing yourself for your flaws, imperfections, and shortcomings. Instead, praise and cherish your good traits and attributes. You have the choice of doing either one, to criticize or to cherish. To sink into deeper depression and self-hate, or deeper appreciation and self-love. How can anyone expect you to love them when you don’t even have that love for yourself?
  3. Take better care of your health. Good mothers-to-be try to make sure they eat right and healthy for their babies because they care about the health of their new child. We should all take that same approach, that same caring and aim it towards ourselves. You deserve to be happy and healthy, you deserve to enjoy a healthier lifestyle that shows you value your own self-worth.
  4.  Give yourself the gift of Acceptance. Accept where you are right here in this moment. Take gratitude in all that you’ve been through and overcome, and all that you are. Realize how it’s a miracle you exist and that this journey is one to be enjoyed.  Be patient with yourself.

Friendship and true love starts at home, and it starts with you. Once you feel content with your own friendship and unconditional love, you will begin to realize you’ve already found a golden friendship and true love. They say that the best relationship you can have is with yourself. Next to that is your relationship with the people in your inner circle. That same unconditional love you’ve nurtured towards yourself is now available for others.

Why You Should Believe In Your Dreams

Why should you believe in your dreams?

Because everything we have now was once a dream, a vision, something that came from the realm of possibility. Everything you see around you was once an idea, a product from somebody’s imagination. And through belief, and unwavering perseverance they brought it into this physical realm. Manifested it into their reality.

This ability is inside of all of us. Most people don’t know that they truly have the power to change their own lives, to make their dreams a reality. And it’s all because they didn’t allow themselves to believe. Faith is not everything, but it’s hope that keeps us going and drives us on when the times get tough. Giving up is the quickest way to failure. There’s no other way around it. People who give up on their dreams, give away their chances of ever succeeding in making them a reality. Sometimes Failure comes first before Success shows up. That doesn’t mean you should throw in the towel at the first fail.

If you think about it, there are infinite universes with endless possibilities that can become different realities in parallel universes. I know that’s a mouthful, but it’s true. Scientists are discovering these other universes and dimensions (CERN). There are multi-universes and in these universes, whatever possibility that could happen has already happened or is happening. That possibility is true.  So imagine, you are already living this dream of yours in one of these universes. You have to be, because it’s possible, right? Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why you have this strong desire to make this dream a reality! Because an aspect of your consciousness is aware of that reality already existing, and your heart wishes to merge with this reality. Consciousness is not bound by time and space. Burt Goldman is the founder of Quantum Jumping, he has mastered the ability to jump into parallel universes and meet his alternate selves. He’s now a successful author, artist, musician, and photographer. And he’s only 89! He believed he could be anything he wanted, and when he saw himself living out one of his dreams, he knew it was possible for him too.

Somebody (a version of you) has to live out this possibility, right? If this dream is something you can’t imagine not doing or pursuing, if this is something you can’t imagine living life without or doing anything other than this, then it may be meant for this you to live out this dream.

This dream could be your soul’s calling. This version of you, right now, will live this life as *insert your name* only once. Sure, your soul never dies. Just like energy can never be destroyed or created, and we are made up of energy. But still, this current identity you have will only be once. The many versions of you throughout the universes will only be once. Out of all of you, don’t you want to be the one who lives their life full of meaning? That does what you once thought impossible? You can do it. The fact that you even have this vision of being *insert whatever* and not something else, means that you know deep down it’s possible. You are just afraid. It’s your Ego’s false sense of self that makes you think you can’t do something but the real you is Capable.

In the next post, I will write about why Ego tries to get in the way of you and your dreams.

The Art of True Transformation

True Transformation is Dying.

A metaphysical death, a spiritual death, an Ego death. A lot of people call it the Dark Night of the Soul. Some call it being born anew. Going through being stripped of everything you thought you were, all of the beliefs you believed to be true. You don’t see yourself the same anymore. You don’t see people the same anymore. Heck, maybe you didn’t even notice the people around you BEFORE all of this happened to you, and now that you’ve been Awakened, you truly SEE the people around you for the first time in your life. You see the whole world with fresh new eyes.

As our old selves die, a new version of ourselves emerges and therefore we are reborn. One of the terms for this is Ego Death. Transformation is killing old aspects of ourselves that no longer served us in a positive way, so we can continue to evolve and grow as souls.

To remember our true selves, we’d have to forget our old false sense of self.

I will tell you a little story. When I was younger, I used to dream a lot about snakes. At the time I was going through a lot of emotional times.  I used to fight and argue a lot with my siblings and parents, I often felt misunderstood by everyone. I was losing sleep due to phobias and worst case scenarios. My mind couldn’t shut off with excessive thoughts of what-ifs. Fear and guilt was ruling my life. Snakes was just another thing to be afraid of, I thought. But one night something happened that caused me stop having nightmares about snakes.  I saw a ‘spirit’ of a snake. That’s the only way I could describe it.  I was just going through another restless night. I was lying on my side, and when I turned over,  I saw black eyes staring back at me. A snake. He was about medium-sized, he was grey but sometimes even looked translucent. He was lying only a few inches away from me.  I wasn’t dreaming. I could distinguish between reality and a nightmare, and this wasn’t a dream. But I wasn’t fully awake either. I was in a state of consciousness between sleep and awake. This snake just stared at me, and for a second I felt that pang of fear crawl up in me and I realized I couldn’t move, nor yell for my parents. The fear intensified. But then the moment passed and I realized how calm this snake is. It was so still. We stare at each other for awhile, it could have been a minute, it could have been an hour. I don’t know how long it was, but by the time he disappeared and I gained full control of my body, I wasn’t afraid of snakes anymore.  Of course, I woke up my parents and told them all about the snake. They looked for it, and looked for it but couldn’t find it. They told me ‘It must have been a dream.” But I know what I saw.  Now usually, you’d think that this experience would only cause my fear of snakes to increase, but nope. I actually love snakes now. 🙂 Years fast forward, and now I see that this experience and the dreams was a significant symbol for me. Snakes represent transformation. Renewal, regeneration, rebirth. It even represents healing! After that period of my life ended, a new beginning began and I started working my way out of living life through Fear. Now I try my best to live life through Love. Perfect Love casts out all fear, right?

I told you this story because I believe that by facing our fears head-on, by truly facing ourselves for what we are, and questioning all of the things we allowed ourselves to believe…by actually make the choice to kill or get rid of our old selves that don’t serve us in a positive way, only then will we have truly achieved transformation. Transcendence beyond the Ego.

We are what we do. When we make the choice to stop doing what our old selves used to do, and begin to do things closer to our true selves,  we begin to grow into a different person.

As a new person, whatever that was keeping us stuck (or oppressed) no longer does anymore. Now, we are free to be our truest self.

Death is a beautiful thing.
